When I've been searching ebay uk for uk based models, they are now sorted into toys, diecast and then (cars, trucks and vans), vintage manufacture or contemporary manufacture. What's happened to all the sub categories and brands? (Or is it me having one of those moments?)

Hi John & all having the same problems I think they want you to look through all the other crap before you find what you want. Lets hope they change it back Pete
Re: Categories
Ebay announced it would be changing categories and sub categories. There were a couple of announcements and one of them had a link to more specific and detailed changes that would be implemented. I do not recall when the changes were to go into effect but the annoucements were far enough back that changes are probably now in effect. Anyone with an ebay account can access all messages from ebay and I've opted for notices of new messages.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Whereas before we could search for Matchbox items under a Matchbox category now we have to look through loads of different crap in the hope of spotting a Matchbox car lol, another nail in the coffin.

Hate the new system. Not enough seller (including me) use Item Specifics when listing for it to work. Its no wonder my sales crashed, anyone not using the 'new' system will have had their items put straight to the bottom of any search because eBay's 'best match' search thinks it knows best.
