OK... In this case, another addition: MP-9 !

Post by Matchboxpat »

Working on the Major Pack pages is kind of an inspiration...Here is the MP-9A. It came in the second type D box (left) and I was Lucky enough to get my hands on the first D box variation (right) at a very nice price.

And yes, I am showing off a bit !

Lovely! The box on the right (in my humble opinion) is the most difficult one to find.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Hi!
I'am a big Major Pack fan and the MP-9 is one of my favorites!
I could buy dozens of them. Your boxes are very nice and the roadtrain seems to be in very good condition.

I can second this, Tinman, I'am still missing that one, too.

Here is a picture of a few Variations. Grey Trailers and Trailers with orange decals.

You may noticed that already, but I think the boxes have different plug-in units, too. Don't know if thats important for you Matchboxpat.
Greetings,
Linus

Hi Linus,

At the moment inserts variations are taken into account on the Vintage Lesney site, but I am considering the idea.

MP-9a is a very beautiful model. Still missing the E Box (i've only been chasing MP and AP boxes for a couple of months).

My favorites of this model ...
The ones with the early wheels; the very distinct front wheels with the lug nuts on them and molded rear wheels.
The gray trailers because every other truck line has a silver trailer (besides, blue and gray is a classic color combo).
The orange decals, not because they are harder to find, but because it's a better decal with a different design (not just a different color).
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
