I can now clearly see the error of my ways as I could never collect just one of either. :?

I posted this Metalic Blue on your other post about the Metalic Blue model, but got no reply from you.

In the case of Blues and other colours the Metalic colours are a lot different to plain colours, here is the Metalic Blue one with a normal Blue one, to my way of thinking all the shades of Blue are not the same.

The same applies to the 65a models Blue and Metalic Blue ones.

Amen to this topic!!!

And to the ice cream trucks above, not only are they a different SHADE (meaning simply light or darker), there are different TONES or HUES.

The Ice Cream Truck on the left is mostly just metallic blue, whereas the one on the right has more green in it making it more turquoise.

At least that's what I see in my monitor with dude brain.

There's just a very small amount of green in the paint...it's hard to see.

Here's an interesting but basic color blindness test.

Just taken the colour blindness test in the link above and Happy to report, I passed with a very weak reading, that is good news especially at my ancient age...!

Not 100% sure I surveyed the results correctly but when the graph came up at the end for the self-assessment I didn't see a "line" to measure. I dragged the moving color slide to the sample color side slowly so not to miss out on any matches. I labeled one only as a matched pair. Interested to hear what others' experiences were. Tinman is right, a lot of emphasis is placed on subtle shade differences in models and don't even get us started on color morphing and fades. - E

Hello Early Wheels. I think If you did not see any line exiting into the left of the graph area, suggests you do not have any colour blindness, which is excellent or it was broken...!

Dr Ghosty has given the correct diagnosis.

If you see no trace of a line, then you've nailed it.

I really want to take the Hue Test on the same site. It looks MUCH harder.

It confounded me at first as well, so I took it again and purposefully marked on incorrectly, then I saw a little line appear.

Early Wheels mentioned color morphing. On another forum we were talking about the blue-green & the green-blue # 75, the official Lesney Morph-a-Matic 3000 !
