Re: One for Ghostie
Thank's Reg. The term 'Holy Grail' applied to this car would suggest some historical content, but the picture does show the car wearing what may be it's original saloon body, because so many 4.5 Ltr cars have been converted to look like the classic 'Le Mans' style cars with the open race/touring body.
Any chance you can see the registration number and post it to me via 'PM', I can not quite make it out in your picture and from this I may be able to trace the car.

Re: One for Ghostie
Information on that Bentley is very sparse because of it being missing for about 35 Years, but it has a saloon body by H.J. Mulliner and was delivered to it's first owner in February 1930, so the date of 1929 in the Newspaper article is correct as that will be the Year production was started.
The registration plate shows..."RX 6108" and the chassis number is...PB 3527, so if anyone else wants to search out details, these will be handy for you.
Thank you Reg for bringing this newspaper article forward, it is not a particularly significant car, only because it is totally original will it be a very valuable car.

Thank's Reg, lovely Silver Ghost, a Merlin engine and the Sopwith bi-plane which if members can not read the sign for it, was powered by the BR2 rotory engine, one of W.O. Bentley's designs using Alluminium pistons.
