Re: Pictures to Ghosty
Thank you Linus. What an absolutely stunning car, the Silver Cloud III 'Flying Spur' by H.J. Mulliner Park Ward, my all-time favourite car wearing the Rolls-Royce grille.
Amazingly, Rolls-Royce did not actually market it as a 'Flying Spur', they used the term 'Continental'.
The particular example you have shown is from 1964 and was the very first example to be purchased in 1978 to form a unique collection where the owner intended to get every known example of this car, all 19 examples made, not knowing that those 19 were only the Right-Hand drive versions...!
There were actually 54 examples made, all built at the North London premises of Mulliner Park Ward.
Thanks for showing a truly classic car.

Re: Pictures to Ghosty
Thank you Peter, a superb early Corniche Drop Head Coupe, something I wanted but even second hand prices were well out of my budget, so I had to settle for the Yellow Silver Shadow II. Corniche cars were even more 'Handbuilt' than Silver Shadows (if that's possible!), and production quantities are much lower, only 1,233 built.

OK, nobody else wanted to have a go at the Silver-Grey Bentley posted by "Fixer"...
...here are a few more details, but if you use the Vehicle Checker link supplied by "YY4BOB", it will only tell you it's 1958, Silver and nothing else!
With index plate "SER 777", it should be Bentley 'S' series 'Continental' 2 door saloon (the technical name for it), but we know them as 2 door fastback by H.J. Mulliner and this one was built on chassis number BC10 EL and delivered to it's new owner in November 1957. The date of 1958 from Vehicle Checker is probably when it was finally registered for use on the road, often cars of this status were not registered at the same time as when purchased.
