#5 Lotus Open bumper, whats its worth ?

Just a quick question, whats this open bumper Lotus worth ? Quite a bit of playwear and base is dull.

It took a long time for these to be discovered by online collectors after being initially missed by the major printed guides. However, more are turning up all the time as they get flipped over for a closer look.

I'd speculate that a collector in need of one of these could pay as much as $100, even in this condition. After all, they probably make up less than 1% of blue model production.

what are you willing to pay?...thats what its worth

my limited funds i recently bid 40 dollars for an auction that had two lotus's in it one had the open bumpers and the other didnt...plus the open bumper model in this auction was an early one without the superfast on the base...so at the time it was worth 40 dollars to me...someone else got it so it was worth a couple more dollars to them

The last one I sold on ebay (open bumpers, with Superfast on base, normal blue shade) ended up doing about $45 with a box, if I remember correctly. It had 3-4 small nicks but otherwise very nice.
