Here's another item from the crate, red interior, clear glass, school bus labels and the smoke damage from the Emergency Gift Set, bit of an oddball!

Not many of this smoked Mercedes school bus was sold. It normally came without the School label in met.blue and htf in med.blue.
Came out of the 1970 emergency set #3021 (or accident set) with the smoked Duple Vista coach and later with the Mercedes
bus. Think, no parents want to buy burn out school busses sets......

I have collected more than 10 different emergency sets with different busses (Duple Vista & Mercedes), different graphics on the set
and many different cars inside. This set was also sold via UK mailorder business with and without outer protector box and i have
also 3 different mailorder order-no.s on the sides of the box. Have 2 different mailorder catalogues with this set included.

So many, many emergency sets were sold (by Mettoy itself and mailorder business) and i think many production runs resulted in that many differences.
Fun to collect and surprises never stops.

This bus started production with red seats and untinted glazing, moved onto yellow seats with untinted glazing and then most of the metalllic blue run 1973-76 has yellow tinted glazing with yellow seats
