Puzzling Prices

Post by hydra427 »

I saw these two models that recently sold on Ebay. My question to you is would you pay these type of prices for models like this.

Item #1 Ferrari Berlinetta - sold for $611.00 - nice scrape on the rear 1/4 panel - I know what this model would bring in mint but that's a lot of money for a scrape like that.

Item #2 Diamond T Prime Mover - sold for $608 - nice overall condition but how about that broken tow hook. Had to be a color touch at some point.

I guess it's up to the individual but not something that I would want in my collection. They might be surprised when go to re-sell them.

Tow hook could have broken off during fettling process. Things that pop off at that point always get painted.

Can't say why that badly messed up Berlinetta sold for that much. More money than common sense I guess.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
