Nice Rack!

Post by TOYRFIC »

After many years of procrastination, I got off my butt and hung up some peg board and then hung up my rack!
An original (ALL METAL) store end cap sale display rack with header from 1980 to 1982?
It has 48 pegs full of Lesney U.S. issue blister pack models that would have adorned it from the early 80's.
This was fun, here are some photos of my finished project. Finally!

What an amazing sight! It's like standing in the toyshop as a child and having to choose (only) one! :D

Thank you for your comments. I joined back in February of last year, but have been doing more lurking around rather than posting.
I will now post more often, so much more that some of you may get sick of me!

Each peg has only three models hung, and all are different.
The bottom row has the Limited Editions from 1980...Viper Van, Cam Cracker, and such.
I still need to find two more numbers to make it an exact 1 thru 75!

Very good to see this -there are nowhere near enough discussions about blisters when boxes have been thoroughly dealt with many times........

I already wrote it on the other forum:

stunning !.
Thanks for posting.

I realy like displays as you may know and this one looks superb.
Do you own more different displays?

Old shopdisplays bring you more back into time then just the models alone.
A display with blisterpacks is even better as you know these models have nevere been played with and are as they were when made.
You probally know this website from Steve Barfield. It shows many old displays and many with old shopdislays.
