50a Commer Pick-Up

The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition) does not list any models not already noted by Nick.
Both the AIM “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983) and Houghton highlight the existence of light and dark GPW.
Stannard lists a model as variation 50A-2 which is the same as Nick's Code 4 but with no mention of the wheels being embossed "M2". The model is also listed by Houghton as 50a-2 and by U.K. Matchbox as variation 2. It therefore seems highly probably that it exists and I would therefore suggest removing "(M2)" from the existing listing. (Other models exist with incorrect wheel numbers, but these have not been notes as variations in the tables.)
In addition to the above -mentioned variation, Houghton also lists as 50a-6/7 (two versions, one for light and one for dark GPW), a model matching Nick's code 9 (light brown body, 9 x 20 GPW, d/r, type 1, none, with ejector, 2.5 mm, type 2) but with a matt base. If confirmed, this would become the new code 10.
U.K. Matchbox covered the model in volume 8, no. 5 (Dec. '84), p158, with the only variation not listed by Nick having already been reported above.

The only note I have which is not listed is an 8.5x24 BPW(red/grey) version towards the end of the codes(Nicks 32-34), I will try and dig the model out.

Interesting to note that in George's 1-75 regular wheel casting show George shows a tan, dark tan and what I can best describe as a 'straw' coloured commer, I have not seen another one this particular shade here in the UK, But I have seen pictures of another one that was found in Australia. Does anyone else own a straw commer?.

Isn't that the tan 46a colour? If so, I think Martin has one (and I've been looking for one for ages, so far without success).
