King Size boxes

Post by oldfart »

I completed my King Size collection and am now working on collecting the 25 or so other King Size boxes that will complete the collection by box type. Since then I decided to start scanning each box, end panels, tab, insert etc. and adding to my personal website for my reference. After adding 3 different boxes I thought someone here might be interested in them as well. If you wish to copy you have my full permission to do so. I have started with the most difficult to scan and will continue to add more each day until it is complete. Hope it helps someone. BTW each scan will enlarge when clicked.

That is a good idea you have done Jim and I have saved the Three main pictures from the backs of the boxes, as they remind me of such peaceful times and the scenes have been depicted in nice Sunny conditions, thanks for the permission but they will stay on my laptop. I look forward to seeing more of them.

Regards,

You should check with Pat and see if any of your boxes match ones he missing for his excellent box web site.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

You got mail !

This is very good stuff ! I am currently doing work on the Accessory Pack pages (see the B box page of the AP) and I will add the KS boxes information also to the KS pages that will be added soon. John Lee is providing me with many scans as well as the measurements for AP. I kind of insist in having those measurements so RW, KS, AP and MP are all at the same scale. The size is also important for some of the variations, such A-4 Road signs, which came in 3 different sizes in the B box style !

The idea of the Vintage Lesney Online site dedicated to boxes is actually to share information between collectors, so your help is more than appreciated. Many collectors have been contributing to the site and it's always a pleasure to share some knowledge on this incredible hobby.

Thanks again !
