I can't find it on my box.
I have many books but sofar I didn't find it.
Any information?
I need this for a list of models I am going to exhibit this summer for 7 weeks in a nice old vintage car museum.

This is given as 143mm and 1/96th scale in the mid-60's pocket catalogue.

How accurate this is I am afraid I do not know, catalogue specifications are not always accurate.

One thing I know for sure is that the actual piece of equipment is huge in real life. A true "site" unit not intended for travel on roadways and built for large earth moving projects.

I have found them in the german 1967 catalogue, not in earlier catalogues.
All models I will exhbitit are now covered in scales for the listings.

Bear in mind Lesney did tend to claim their scales were larger or smaller than they really were to make them sound more attractive to the scale model railway enthusiasts.

I always figured the model was close to HO scale (1/87) so the scale given seems very close. Here are some photos that help to give the model some real life scale.

This was first shown in the 1964 pocket catalogue as an artist's illustration.

Great to see photos of the real thing.

According to the german 1967 Matchbox catalogue the scale is 1:96

I just noticed that in the UK editions of the older catalogues the scale of the models are mentioned.
