Well spotted, a variation that could easily be overlooked.

Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Hi friends,
there are several variations of the Caterpillar Bulldozer, but does anybody know the background about this variation? I bought this bulldozer a few years ago at Rockertrons eBay shop. It wasn't cheap, but i got it. He had at this time 3 or 4 more matchbox with golden accessories. For example the no. 29 tractor shovel with golden shovel. But i've got only the bulldozer.

hope to see Mr Rockertron at Sandown I will ask him if he remembers any details about it, the amount of stock Graham goes through don't be surprised if he doesn't

There was an issue of the complete series in gold (called, I think, the 'Matchbox 75 Challenge'). Could there be a connection here? Some kind of spin-off, or simply using up residual components?
