Iam very sceptical about that painted interior. It would be the first juniors with painted interior for me (if i remember correctly!).
I know, that outertrim was sometime handpainted on some very early pre-pros and i also possess many handpainted ones, also
handpainted stickers. But i cant really remember detailpainted -interior- at the juniors range!! But, in the larger scale, i know of
completely handpainted interior on 1/36 cars. I have one Chevrolet Caprice Stockcar in 1/36 with complete beige (ivory) painted
interior. But not detailed! Only one colour. So the interior can be later made in that coloured plastic.
The detailing of a hard to see area let me think of aftermarket paintjob. But who knows??
I wish, i can ask Marcel van Cleemput for more facts.....!
BTW, there are a lot of speculations around and many are stated as being facts....!!
The truth is out there...

Very true!MrGoodies wrote:...there are a lot of speculations around and many are stated as being facts....!!
Re: Newbie with unusual TR7
There is a vast difference from wild speculation offered up as fact and an actual fact. Presenting a wild speculative opinion as a fact is a disservice to everyone. When wildly speculative opinions are used to bolster someone's claim; it's known as Circular Reasoning. That's an even worse disservice and risks disseminating opinion as fact to the novice.MrGoodies wrote:BTW, there are a lot of speculations around and many are stated as being facts....!!

It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
Re: Newbie with unusual TR7
It all seems a bit up and down ,there appears at this stage to be 2 possibilities 1,It's a possible one off and painted specially to present to people who would make a decision re colour way ,or even made as a one of to present to someone deemed special at the launch , 2. An already rare edition of 250 was painted on the interior by someone lucky enough to get one of the already rare items . Why would somebody go to such trouble when interior is difficult to see through tinted glass.
Re: Newbie with unusual TR7
If that is real gold not just paint then they werent messing around with interior, jobs get done because somebody was paid to do them. It is unlikely to be part of a reported order for 250 copies when the pair seen by Wolfgang lack detailed seats and the plinthbirdy wrote:It all seems a bit up and down ,there appears at this stage to be 2 possibilities 1,It's a possible one off and painted specially to present to people who would make a decision re colour way ,or even made as a one of to present to someone deemed special at the launch , 2. ...come to a conclusion for which there is, at best, merely circumstantial evidence and nothing more, then weave a whole web of totally unsupported "facts" around it until you start to believe your own propaganda and begin to draw other, less experienced collectors into your fantasy world whilst all the time not one experienced collector steps forward to agree with you.SMS88 wrote:Precisely Moriarty - the art of deduction - whatever facts we are left with ............. gold plated body ....... untampered with olated Corgi standard screws + washers ...........2 tone interior as per post 1978 Canley production ........ special plinth obviously not home made...........link them all together and...................

Re: Newbie with unusual TR7
idris´s exoertise detecting authentic Hackney factory gold brushed trim has come in handy here helping us understand the nature of the interior detailing of this TR7, a test for grease from a greasy appendige will prove conclusively whether or not this TR7 is a fake made by a bearded boy wonder or in its absence , my factory presentation model theory will be confirmedIdris wrote:...come to a conclusion for which there is, at best, merely circumstantial evidence and nothing more, then weave a whole web of totally unsupported "facts" around it until you start to believe your own propaganda and begin to draw other, less experienced collectors into your fantasy world whilst all the time not one experienced collector steps forward to agree with you.SMS88 wrote:Precisely Moriarty - the art of deduction - whatever facts we are left with ............. gold plated body ....... untampered with olated Corgi standard screws + washers ...........2 tone interior as per post 1978 Canley production ........ special plinth obviously not home made...........link them all together and...................
