Yes, unfortunately the Scammell is an overpaint, not a bad one. But not original.

All the over painted models and the numerous detail embellishments were done with paint easily removed with acrylic thinner. I will post pics once I have them all cleaned up.

Likewise the first series Yesteryear model boxes have had Tinmans starch treatment. They look so much better and feel like new cardboard.

I'm still amazed I picked this bunch of beauties up as one lot, notwithstanding they were an absolute bargain.
