It is difficult assessing colours of models in pictures displayed on different electronic devises. It would also be better if you had several examples placed together, with one of those examples a definite know and recorded colour, however, on my screen it does not look dark enough to be metallic and the label on the front of the roof is of the middle size of the known types, I believe the label on a metallic model is of the larger type and without a full White border lining.

No, this model is candycoat blue - a semi transparent blue sprayed over a pale blue primer

Thanks to both of you for crushing my wishful thinking! :)

Just kidding of course, I do appreciate the direction; regardless, it sure is a nice example of the 47b.

It is a very nice example with a good clean box as well. Yours seems to have the Second type of side decal with the smaller...Lyons Maid lettering in the Maroon panel, which may make yours too late for a splashing of metallic Blue paint...

A very nice example and I like the box showing the darker model.

Your model is not the Metalic Blue but this one is the Metalic Blue, not only the wrong side decal, but the wrong roof Decal as well but still very nice. :)

Sure is in nice shape though, a great addition to any collection.
I have found a number of the metallic blue in job lots, but still lack a mint one also.

The fastest way to spot a metallic blue example is by first looking for the early roof decal with the longer stripes. If the photo is poor (color is not certain), first look for that early decal and then go from there. No early decal, then no way it's a metallic blue.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

These are great differences. I would have assumed the metallic ones all had knobby black plastic wheels.
That is what I noticed first off.
