Latest arrivals in my MB SF family...

Post by davidlet »

Hello MB Fans,

Here's a photo of my newest models I bought on Ebay these last few weeks.
The card of the Berlinetta is a bit (a lot!!) damaged but the price was not to high. As for the yellowish Wildcat, some of you must have noticed it on Ebay.de as there was a lot of bidders on it ; the final price was high but I hadn't had such a model with fading color yet.
Cheers.

Looking at your excellent photo I am wondering if that yellow Wildcat perhaps is not actually faded - this casting was intended to have a pink primer under the orange candy coat however your picture appears to show white primer.Best place to look to be certain is underneath, inside the front wheelarches for white paint. If you see girlie pink paint there then that would prove faded.White proves new variation

Hi SMS88
Wish you were right about my model! (though it seems that the original colour was orange to judge from the pics I've just taken (below)..
Cheers

Interesting to see how paint has faded yet inked sticker remains factory fresh!
Price on blisterpack seems to be Belgian francs from 1970.........very rare to find franc priced blisters

Hi David,

great selection of models. I esp. like the Wildcat Dragster with "Rat Rod" label, it must be quite rare. My own Wildcat has standard (cut to shape) labels, is orange w/ black base and deep green windows. Shares the engine casting with No. 62 Rat Rod Dragster, and even the engine wells are identically cast.

Regards,

Ken
