MCCH finally called it quits?

Post by Tinman »

From all outward signs, it looks like the mcch has kicked the bucket and ended its long running painful suffering at the hands of a slow death. I welcome any and all who are in search of a new place to share, discuss and learn about vintage die cast.

MCCH Facebook page has taken over that community at zero server cost!

I'm banned for life from the MCCCP face book page as well as the old site. Matters not as I have no interest or use for his (or the other) die cast related face book pages. They have no substance, no order and no serious discussions or information ... but most of all they lack any kind of soul!

Besides, the King of Fail (curtis) has more rules on his FB page than God has to get into Heaven.

The problem with that site is that it lacks real leadership and is more like a dictatorship, unlike our site where Nick allows most things and is generally a good bloke. I for one have never missed it.

Being on FB makes it free and easier to attract new members - although there are lots of diecast groups there, some with very big memberships which are popular because they allow open selling. Its worth stopping by once in a while to read about the annual MCCH gatherings which now take place online rather than at McDonals in Kentucky, Georgia  ............

Ah yes, his annual promise of a "gathering" type event has become his annual epic FAIL. The most recent attempt was a quite spectacular FAIL. It came right on top of his FAILED attempt to market another fundraiser model. Both FAILS were so huge that he's probably given up on both (at least one can only hope).

The shallow and "of the moment" type content of FB suits his complete lack of ability to plan and run anything.

The MCCH forum page now reads: "Hacked again! The MCCH is currently under a Trojan Virus attack and is down to fix it.".

I remember when he claimed that Pat's Box Page was hacked and it took him a year and still did nothing to fix it. Oddly enough, Pat moved his page to Nick's server without any issues. I doubt curtis has the skills to fix his own site and will have to pay someone to do so. In my humble opinion, it's not worth restoring to the web as it's far broken from it's own internal problems.
