I have the following:



Rather than the shield on the door saying Police Department, it says Polizei Department. Is this unusual or rare?

Hi Kevin,

Good eyes; I would say this is a rarer version. I have found a couple with "polizei" and if one don't know what to look for it is easier to think it is the more common one with "police".
This model (K78) can be found with quite a number of variations.

I love the model; I can't imagine anything like this being done today, particularly the two officers with drawn weapons.

I have this model as well, unfortunately not as mint as yours kmc500 and without the figures (which are very cool by the way). Mine has the "police" shield which just for comparison I thought I would share

I just found one in a box of stuff loose with the two figures. It is in amazing shape considering it has been sitting loose in a box for years.

I know this thread is intended for the K78 but just for reference here is my K70 police porsche that does not have a shield but does use "polizei" as well (the only diecast I own with working door handles, how cool was that for Matchbox )
