1963-78, TOMTE-LADERAL from Norway, direct copies of contemporary Corgi and Dinky toys in the same scale.

The company's name is Tomte Laerdal (not Laderal) ;)

The red 300 SL is a copy of Corgi 304, the orange one copied from Solido's 190 SL.

Thanks "007", the mistake was intentional as I seemed to be the only member taking part in Mike's...'Guess my model, part 7' and wanted someone else to join in...

Ghosty, you can still change the error in your spelling.
But beware! Maybe you also get the whip. Like me.

Ghosty, what does "this" imply - when you are intentionally correct with your statements...

Mike you may wish to see here for more information
http://www.tomte-toys.com/tomte/models.html scroll down for the photos
It seems these models come from the Tomte Laerdal N° 750 range, which had some 30 different models in it.
There are several different colors that each model was produced in.
Your N° 5 is a Mercedes Benz 300 SL produced between 1962-1973
and your N° 11 is a Mercedes Benz 190 SL produced between 1962-1978
The advantage of these models is that because they are made of vinyl they will not stick to the lips on cold winter days, so ..
They are the ones you want to take to the mountain, when it is really, really, really, cold !!!

Hi zBret.
This is a perfect information. :D
Thank you my friend.

The plastic models ideal for the winter. 8-)
But in the summer, the models will melt more on hot lips. :?
