Yes! That's the one. There was a scene with a fish that 20 years later I still quote. Sad really as the show had a fairly short run, on a channel that had a narrow audience, so I've never run into anyone who knew what I was talking about.
I also forgot, we watch "Keeping up appearances" here too.

Ghosty, I'm pretty sure that's Onslow's Cortina backfiring, not a Rolls, but what do I know.

  Just to let our friends across the Pond know, the charactures seen in episodes of "Keeping up Appearances" do exist in real life and many of our housing estates have a few 'Onslows'... :D

My favorite has always been 'Are You Being Served?', but many characters depicted on all these older BBC shows remind we in the colonies of our own neighbors. 'Are you being served' is a typical department store we had in our downtown U.S. cities, but I always wished they had featured the 'Toy Department' of the store on that show once in a while to re-live our favorite Lesney and Dinky displays full of lorrys and double deckers we loved so much. I think the lack of political correctness of these shows from the 60s is what I really enjoy the most. They were written in the days when free thoughts and words were humor, not meant to feed someones 'ideal world' views.....
We used to live down the street from a humorless State Trooper when I was young. After he spent a few weeks watching the Monty Python shows of the late 60s, he developed a Great sense of humor. He was then always happy and smiling, and our whole family could never really understand that miraculous transformation, but were able to enjoy his spirited company a lot more than we ever could have before Monty......kwakers

A State Trooper enjoying Monty Python, now there's an image to stay in my mind for a while.
