spot the gems

Post by MOKOSEX »

Bit different this time ,has we are in printed paper territory, this was an auction lot in a local auction and i was viewing online ,glancing quickly from lot to to lot i just thought some modern catalogues and mica mags but later i looked again and saw a couple of oldy gems sticking out also look at the mica? magazines :D turned out to be a really good lot, even the auction porter said so,(there was a tube not in the picture with a boxed matchbox collectors van, poster, licence ,stickers pin badge etc all mint! )

Looks like that might be a full set of UK Matchbox magazines. (Volume 3 is htf, whilst volumes 1 and 2 are borderline rare.)

I have the calendar advert, which is from 1980 by Stuart's Marketing & Advertising. As far as I'm aware, It was nothing to do with the Major Models issues, the first of which appeared in 1984. I've tried to track down a produced Stuart's example with no success.
