Re: General Toy Product (GTP) Plane
Thanks Hugh, I have a request for you, can you please move this whole 'General Toy Product (GTP) Plane thread' to 'Other UK made diecast toys' as I think it belongs in there instead of this European thread and Ian "toysnz", please note that we have done this, thanks.

Re: General Toy Product (GTP) Plane
While I'm more than happy to accept they were manufacturing at Treforest (after all i'd expect a Museum to get its facts right!), it also states LATE 1950s for that Road Roller yet we believe the company was dissolved in 1953... so we have contradicting "evidence" from the book ‘British Tin Toys’ by Marguerite Fawdry and the Museum.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:This website says 'Treforest Industrial Estate' for 'GLAMTOYS'...www.museumwales.ac.uk/rhagor/article/toys/
(As an aside I find that Museum site to be very difficult to move around or find anything on.. just doesn't seem to be very user friendly to me...)

Here is another variant of the interesting 'GLAMTOYS' models, this one is the GTP532 ambulance, also with 'Made in GT Britain' on the rear bumper.
