number 42 studebaker
number 42 studebaker
Hello everybody,
I'm here again with an other question.
I have an studebaker number 42.
When I look on the website of Nick Jones I can't see the same color combination that I have on my car.
The car is in a very bad condition but I just want to know if anyone knows something more about this car.
Greetings Henk

Re: number 42 studebaker
Probably the best thing you can do is read the thread on the old site. Note that you will need to register first (and I've no idea if that's still possible - sorry!).
Note that this could be match for my own, currently unique, very pale blue 42b (which also came from The Netherlands).

Re: number 42 studebaker
very interesting Hugh I had no idea this shade existed and as the old site finished just after I first joined I never got round to finding it
just to note I was surprised to be able to log back in as previous attempts have failed miserably

Hello guys,
It's the real colour of the car. The colour isn't changed because of the sun.
Is there anybody else who can tell more about this car?
P.S. I posted this post on the wrong subject. Could anyone replace it to 'Lesney Matchbox regular wheels 1-75'?
Thanks
Henk

The car that I have has the colour of the 4th car from the right on the picture you send but it has a white sunroof.
The sunroof of the car of me has the same colour as the rest of the car.

Re: number 42 studebaker
The Studebaker Wagons with the same colour sliding roofs were made very early in this models life if they do not have a front tow guide on their base Henk.
At some point, the front tow guide was then added with the sliding roof still being the same colour of the body. As you can see by Jason's pictures, your very light body colour came later in the model's life, mainly with the light blue roofs on them, so you and Idris have examples of a very hard to find variation of this Stude. Thanks for showing yours here. kwakers
