Yellowfoden also look out for this colour trial in orange, late model but there must be more out there.

I know you mention this orange Foden is a 'late model' J, but which Nick code is it? The orange looks more like the #26B Mixers to me, another Great discovery for us to drool over...... kwakers

Hi Dick the model is a code 3 on Nicks listings, more in the middle than later I suppose. When I first got the model I went through checking and the identical colour was from the 30c crane boom colour.

Nice colour variation Jason. It seems that at least one run of 21d Foden was painted with the same colour as the 30c crane boom.

Thanks for the added comparison picture J, WOW! I believe Yellowfoden and I are now drooling over this very smartly painted oddity along with many other members and lurkers. For this color to have been done in the middle of this Foden's production is simply amazing.
As Antonin has said, I hope there was a batch done, so we may all have the chance to own an example one day also....... After all these years without ever seeing another, I am not too confident in my finding one. Another Super nearlymint model to bring us both a smile and to jealous tears..... kwakers

Thank you Jason, yes, I do remember you showing this once before Jason and actually have it as a footnote in my (and Kwakers) listing but it was a different angle photo and in each photo I could not see the hopper brace.
Can you tell us which size brace/block is under the hopper arch as I had yours as a second example of casting known with reference to a new body type. The different block sizes previously had not been mentioned in catalogues. As it happens was going to add a little info to that thread. Will try and get it done tonight/today but in the other thread so that the new codes are easy to follow.
Your colour can be a hard one to pick from online photos and thought I had found one a couple of times but not to be and yes I agree with Antonin as have seen a couple of different colours. It is a bit of a gamble with some online photos but I live in hope of finding these. The comparison pic with the crane is perfect, always much better than two different photos.
Judging by what has been discovered in recent times with the crimped barrel pin for example I think there may have been a few technical issues with this model and some body casting in storage.
I think I have looked at too many of these of late almost burning a 21d image onto my retinas like the old CRT screens
UPDATE
Jason I have added some detail to the 21d hopper block size thread.

Ok Yellowfoden I will check and let you know on the other thread.
Not sure how many there will be of these, this model came from a fellow member along with 3 other colour trials.
