I posted this in another area but thought I better ask here about these red tail lights. Are they original?

Re: pontiac
The Pontiac convertible was introduced in 1962 which is I think a bit late to have (hand applied) red trim to the tail lights, This was almost certainly done by a previous owner.

and a slightly younger variant too with its all white interior.

Yep, suspect it rides on BPW since it has that last issue black base as well.RVREVO wrote:and a slightly younger variant too with its all white interior.

Re: pontiac
A popular model - I remember in the mid-sixties we kids all wanted to have it! Great proportions and play value without opening doors or other enhancements. Lots were sold, and a good number remain on ebay 50 years later. I found that the GPW with Maroon Base (Crimson to some) as well as 24 tread SPW with Black Base, both with the Yellow body color scheme are elusive. Metallic Purple with GPW is in a realm all its own in terms of scarcity here in the US. The one that I once had in my collection through 2007 actually came from South America (and it was legit).
