Who made this?

Post by Sir_Matchbox_96 »

Hi all,
I got this Ferrari 512 S / pininfarina in my last lot. I'am thinking of 'Polistil' / 'Mercury'..but I'am not sure!
So who made this?

Greetings,
Linus

Hi Linus
Ferrarri 512 S Pininfarina was produced by Mebetoys and Politoys also. Politoys model is more detailed as Mebetoys. According the photos, I would say that your model was produced later in the modified mould of Mebetoys by for me unknow company.

Yes I also think it comes very close to the "Mebetoys" made model. I think my example is missing the hubcaps, too, which make it a bit harder to identify.

Thanks for your quick help!

Is it 1/43 like the Mebetoys and Politoys, or more Matchbox size? How long is it? I have not heard of a knockoff made in ITALY? Very nice find.
