So what do the experts say on this one?
I just made this "Buy It Now" purchase on ebay. What do the experts make of the Zodiac?
Here's the auction link if you want to see the other photos:

Always difficult to tell from Photos Greg as the colour on these vary, fingers crossed for you though.

Looks dark blue-green on my screen Greg but ya never can tell. Good luck and let us know. I would have bought it, too.

im not up on this model but whatever you hope it is Greg...when you get it...it is what you were after!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Not sure what the question is, Greg.
We debunked the dark blue 33a as being a sunfade some time ago. Looking at the photograph, I think I can see a colour difference between the inside and outside of the bodyshell, in which case it may well be dark blue in the hand.

Thanks everyone and your pictures are great as always George!
I'll get a picture or two when it arrives and we'll see what I've got.

I won't claim the title of expert but I would have bought it.

Actually Hugh, I don't remember seeing that very thorough discussion and analysis of the nature of the dark blue 33a models. So my intention was indeed to get input with regard to the color of the 33a that came within that particular ebay auction. Not sure what the question is, Greg.
We debunked the dark blue 33a as being a sunfade some time ago. Looking at the photograph, I think I can see a colour difference between the inside and outside of the bodyshell, in which case it may well be dark blue in the hand.
I stole one of George's photos that Nick uses within the variation's resource page on the 33a. That page identifies the colors (L to R) as "dark blue, dark blue-green, dark green, sea green and blue"
So........
I want to see if I'm clear in my understanding of the majority consensus of the experts on these colors. Some questions:
1. Are we saying that both the dark blue and the dark blue-green models are progressive degrees of paint fade of models that left the factory as dark green models?
2. Within Nick's variation resource for the 33a, variation codes 8, 9 and 10 are listed as being "Blue" bodied models. Are these three codes referring to this very same dark blue (far left in George's photo) that seemingly never originally existed or are they in reference to the "blue" model at the far right in George's photo?
