As a recovery truck driver myself, I can see that was an accident waiting to happen. The towing truck was not big enough, because the stricken truck's front wheels were still on the road and because it was an articulated unit the tractor unit was also steering, causing the problem, so it should have been lifted with a speculation unit, keeping only non articulated fixed axles on the surface.
