I ain't bin too well........

Post by starni999 »

Hi all,
Quick update, and a post to explain why I've been on here a lot more ( :D ) and not at any of the fairs ( :( )
I was taken into hospital on Jan 12th with a bleeding bowel, flare up of my Colitis I've had for 12 years, chemo sorted it last time I was bad in 2012, but this time I had a bad reaction to it, having built up an immunity, and it failed.
The only route then was to have "it all taken away" as they say, I had the op a couple of weeks later, and had my large bowel, appendix, and some other pipes removed. So I have a stoma and bag now. Not as unpleasant as I feared to be honest, and I'm getting used to it.
Not back at work till late April, but I will be at Oswestry, Bridgnorth, Kidde Toyfairs if all goes well.
Thanks to everybody who's asked about me, I ay jed yet! As we say in the Black Country.
Chris Warr.

Well that's a highly eventful start to the new year....

I'm glad things are getting better and you're back to exercising your passion for toy fairs and vintage diecast.

Look after yourself mate.

Cheers

Extremely sorry to hear that you have been unwell, but glad to read that there is now light at the end of the tunnel (and it's not the light of an oncoming train!). Best wishes for the future, Chris.

New wishes for continued successful healing coming your way from Ohio in the central US! I'm glad to see you haven't forgotten that a little bit of vintage Lesney has powerful healing powers! :D
