At the end of last year, the final details were set at Corgi for a new collection of models based on the Bentley brand, this I find is good news because I like Bentley toys and models.
The Corgi 'Bentley Collection' will be a five year program with models of high qaulity detailing of current Bentley production and a series of cheaper models aimed at the lower end of the market, this in earlier times would mean 'Toys'. It is hoped that recent and past Bentley cars will be featured and both race and road car where applicable.
The first releases are the current Bentley road and race cars in 1/43 rd scale, so this will be at least one 'Continental' GT and the race version, 'Continental' GT3.
The recommended retail price for each model is £26.99, so expect dealers to undercut this a little, they usually do.
I don't personally collect anything Bentley made after 1998, but the fact that these are now finally being released and the 'Scalextric' version is also due out this year, I may be tempted!

Ghosty,
This "Pound" thing must seem such a new and confusing concept to someone of your standing seeing as you have only ever previously traded in Guineas!!

Or perhaps those huge old Bank notes the size of an A4 sheet of paper.

Re: The 2014 Corgi Bentley Collection...
In the last Month or so, the new 'CORGI' Bentley tooling has hit the retail shops and so far Three versions are available.
The first version is the race car in GT3 trim.
Then a road car version in Ivory.
Then a stunning bright Yellow road car based on a 'Press' car.
The box design is good showing the model's colour and detail (superb detail in fact) and all this for around the £27 mark, I have seen them already at £25 and they are good value for money and a welcome return to the Bentley marque for Corgi, as they have not had one in their product line since 1986 if my memory is correct and while I don't collect Rolls-Royce or Bentley cars made after 1998, I do want one of these, so I will make an exception.
