3a Colour variation?

Post by Idris »

I noticed this auction during the week, which appears to show two distinct colours of the 3a Cement Mixer. Can anyone confirm?

We did discuss this before but I can't find the thread at the moment, perhaps it was on Lefora. I know I have one which is darker than the normal sky blue, I'll have to dig it out because I don't remember if it was the same as the one in the ebay photos.

My memory deceived me a bit, here's two shades but not as pronounced as the ebay example. One's fresh and one is playworn so that may account for some of the difference in mine.

The brighter one is the common blue of this Mixer, but I would buy the pair in order to own the odd darker blue model. Could the odd blue color come from the 27A cab, or maybe even the M-2 Wall's Ice Cream Cab unit? kwakers
