I thought it sounded vaguely familiar......yellowfoden wrote:Hello Antonin and Hugh,
Thanks for posting these images Antonin. I agree that these are two different size wheels and different profiles. These were highlighted here when Nick started new forum.

If the link does not work please have a look under Re: 52a Maserati - a question on wheel sizes started back on 20 September 2013.
My images are similar to yours.
Re: 52a Maserati 4CLT
The tread differences were so apparent to me right from the start Idris, I began to think I would also have to stop by to look through your beater boxes along with Antonin's and Jason's. I am now forced to again look through these 52As a bit closer now to check for the 2 different BPW tread styles you have shown us today Antonin. I don't remember this discussion either, but I'll write it in my 'Stannard's Bible' I carry with me this time around. kwakers
Re: 52a Maserati 4CLT
We missed that discussion when LeFora went Down Antonin!! Poor Johnnyhuis may still be waiting for we Forum members to discuss these wheels he had found on several different military Lesneys also.... kwakers

Re: 52a Maserati 4CLT
That’s a good find - it must be very early in production.

it is (no racing no. and no silver trim).DrJeep wrote:...it must be very early in production.
Re: 52a Maserati 4CLT
I've a question about the wire wheel. Was this exclusive to the racer or was it borrowed from a YY model?
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
Re: 52a Maserati 4CLT
Never mind, I just remembered where the wheels come from. They were "borrowed" from the 73b Ferrari (or the Aston Martin) after it's introduction in '62.Tinman wrote:I've a question about the wire wheel. Was this exclusive to the racer or was it borrowed from a YY model?
