Al I can think of is that it's got the incorrect baseplate fitted, the name "Austin 7" having been used for the first Minis introduced in 1959. However, if the models were produced to a fixed scale, then I would have expected the Austin 7 to be shorter and perhaps also narrower that the A40.

Done a quick interweb search and any I found had the same base, could they have made an Austin 7 Ruby and just carried the base over being another Austin??
Or were the A30s also known as a 7 like the first minis
