i have a camera you can have for free if you want it...i replaced it with a better camera for taking close up pics of models...but that doesnt mean you can still use it...at least for general pics and not up close ones...but youll get used to taking pics and uploading them...let me know...its a free camera!

I have a very Minty, more metallic Blue than green colored Ford Kennel Truck that was sold to me by Ron Slyder out of a collection he had at a West Point Matchbox U.S.A. event. (1980s) Neither my Dad nor Ron could see any reason to collect such an oddity for just it's color alone, so for $25 it became my ultimate collectible Kennel Truck now put away for safe keeping. Ron was a fairly 'New' Dealer in Lesneys, and boy did I buy some rare gems from both him and some other dealers that day out of several deep early Lesney collections being sold by them at that event. kwakers

Thanks to Dick´s note, I noticed that I have a blue green 50c Ford Kennel Truck in my spare models also. Up till now I could see only two shades: metalic green (standard colour) and dark green (on the right). On the attached photo I can confirm the existence of blue green variation (on the left) .

I do not know if it was mentioned. There are two small unlisted variations on 50c:
a) thin frame by rear slot for canopy
b) thick frame by rear slot for canopy

Please becareful with the blue barrels , they can be found on the Superking K20 cargo hauler. Would be nice to see some on a spree, still quie hard to find on the k20. J

I hadn't seen the k20 before now with blue barrels, thanks Jason. Do you know the timeline of that model? The 51b was around for a long time (64-69).

the blue barrels Dick has are from a trade with me (still waiting Dick ) I kept 4 for myself the general consensus was they are from the K20 they (10 in total) were found on a flee market stall during last year , added mine to a cheap K20

When we discussed this before, the concensus was that the blue barrels only appeared on the very first issue of the K20.

Yes Antonin, that Mint looking Blue-green Kennel Truck you have illustrated in your picture is almost exactly the color of our own Blue-green Kennel Truck. Ours has the earlier smooth bed floor rather than your textured one, and ours has a white plastic grill. I can't tell what color grill your Kennel Truck has in it from your single picture Antonin. Our Blue-green Truck is so uniform in color in every area of the model, it's blue cannot be written off as the result of sunfade or chemical exposure.
As also can be seen very well in your comparison of the three models Antonin, you have also shown my two very distinct greens here, not just minor color shades there either. Perhaps I should fly over and sort through some of your 'Spares' Antonin if models like this minty blue-green one lay there unrecorded? That would be right after my U.K. visit to Jason to pick up some Nearlymint unknown pre-pro spares that were thrown into his beater boxes as his 'spares'......
With collectors such as Dan, Antonin, Jason, George, Idris, and some other Forum members to snap 'MY' pictures, I just have to verbally suggest these oddities we found 40 years ago to have them spring to life.
Thanks for the two additional casting variations you have shown here Antonin, I will be looking through my spares for examples of my own, so we all have learned a bit here on this post! kwakers
