The real attic find! Childhood collection suitcase!

Post by MrGoodies »

Hi,

just bought a very big fire model collection and asked the guy, if he has some old toys from his childhood.
Then he walked in his attic, came back and put this suitcase with his -childhood- toys on top of the deal!!

I was surprized, that such nice models came out of this rusty suitcase, never seen the light from 1965/66
until today. The guy was born 1955 and get that models aged around 10 or 11! So he not played much with
that late received models. The earlier models & toys was played with and thrown away in the past!

After sorting the models this was the end result! Many boxes are crisp and like new. Only missing the
inner packing. But whats the problem! I love my job/work....!

I know, pictures are a bit too large for this site. But think, it will work.....

Have fun

Very nice collection with the best $$$ TV items looking to have perfect packaging. I guess the fast that he let them go means he either wont miss them or needs the money -I wonder which reason he had for parting with them after 40 years??

This man had no longer interest in this models, he gave them away with no emotions. I think, his
wife was more interested in the toys, because she gave them a well look through and said much
about cute figures and so on. The guy was a business person (lawman) and only want get rid of all these models,
especially that 1300 pieces fire vehicle collection! He need the space! And i think he thought, he will get a
better price for the fire models with the Corgi Toys on top! Thats true.....

A wonderful moment, these will keep you busy. Can you share a photo of the Ecurie? it's one of my favourites.

Wonderful!
What a result! It always pays to ask what else they've got. Once I went to see a collection of "really old toy cars", and they were 200 1980's Superfast smashed to bits and poured out of a pillowcase. It gives me faith to see that this really good stuff is still out there, As you say, WE value this stuff highly, but to some people it's just old stuff in the way.

I am late coming to this thread because I could not find the words to describe what is in the pictures. The most desirable models from Corgi and Dinky in one place. Absolutely stunning, so many examples of what I used to have as a young lad, fantastic!

Ghosty.
