Welcome to the TV and Film Extravaganza Newsletter, this two-day sale is so much more than our usual Auctions, with so many interesting and rare pieces as well as unique and sought after collections it's going to be a struggle to mention them all, make sure you check out the news pages for further information and stories of collections and Lots.

Originally scheduled for one day the sale has expanded to two days as new and exciting items arrived each day, our specialists have been busy cataloguing and lotting as usual but these sales have meant they have also been busy with TV and Radio interviews, press releases and attending fairs and exhibitions - it's a good job they love what they do!

The first day, on October 24th has some amazing Star Wars pieces from a number of Private Owners Including Lee Cooper who is running a competition on the 'StarWars' forum to see how much his collection will reach - the winner, with the closest guess will receive his Vintage Star Wars Kellerman Guide, there has already been a great deal of speculating on the forum with guesses ranging from £11,000 to £28,000!

We hope that on the day the Force is strong!

Other items include some Palitoy 12-backs, including the 'uber-rare' vinyl caped Jawa, German issue Empire Strikes Back figures, plus a Star Wars original acetate transparency from 1977, used in the production of the original iconic Tom Chantrell promotional Poster.

Items from other films featured in this sale include Dr Who, The Avengers, The Professionals and many more; there are also personal collections from Lilian Harvey and John Wayne.

Day two is dedicated solely to James Bond Memorabilia; the sale will feature approximately 570 Lots of James Bond Related items including the Daryl Burchmore Collection.

Also included are various replica and original props including a Goldfinger Gold Ingot, a Harpoon Gun, Crossbow and a fine high quality Faberge egg encrusted with 96 Swarovski crystals and finished in 22 carat gold. Other items include a Gilbert Raceway set, posters, toys and collectables including, cars, figures, aircraft and plastic kits from Corgi and Danbury Mint plus others.

Daryl was interviewed by the Collectors Gazette when Vectis went to pick up his collection, watch the video of his story here.

Our Specialists are really excited about this sale, so much so that when you come along to the auction we have a little more on offer than just the usual free tea and coffee, on Thursday we will be joined by a Stormtrooper and TIE Fighter pilot and on Friday, weather permitting, we will have an Aston Martin DBS on display outside our premises.

The Auction room is also looking great with movie memorabilia embellishing the walls, and posters and costumes on display.

A note of caution though, the Star Wars Lots are extremely valuable and delicate and as such viewing will be strictly monitored and items will be handed over to a viewing area where our specialists will be on hand to discuss the Lots; we are also expecting reporters from the Collectors Gazette plus local radio and hopefully others so please let Vectis know if you are happy to talk to any of them, we would love to know what you are interested in and why.

News Just In: Our very own Kathy Taylor will be featuring on BBC Breakfast on Sunday Morning, tune in to hear her talk about Vectis and the Star Wars items with the News team.

If you are a Sci-Fi fan or a TV and Film buff, Kathy will also be attending the Birmingham NEC Comic Con on November 23rd-24th and locally at Teesside University Geeks Unleashed on November 2nd where once again she will be available for valuations and to take in collections.

We are also attending two Toy Fairs in November:

Sunday 3rd November - Reebok Stadium,
Saturday 16th November - Sandown Park Race Course, Surrey,

Our Specialists will be available for valuations and to take in collections at all of these events.
