In the 50s and 60s were 1-75 models only released worldwide in English language boxes?
What about catalogues?

I'm not sure about the 50's but in the 60's Matchbox catalogues were printed in a multitude of different languages, The 70's even Japanese and Arabic were printed,

Mike, Nick thanks for replying and satisfying my curiosity.
YYS - I'm on the iPhone at the moment and appreciate your taking the trouble to post me a link.
When I can access my laptop I'll spend my time perusing on the bigger screen.
Thanks again - I like the catalogues and display cases nearly as much as my 1 - 75s.

Re: Query re Language
The boxes for the Aral versions of the 25c and 32c tankers had the model name in German ("Tankwagen").radar wrote:In the 50s and 60s were 1-75 models only released worldwide in English language boxes?
Boxes for models with opening doors had the French licence text "Portières ouvrantes licence Solido" on one of their end flap closers.
On all other boxes of that era the language was English only, apart from the text "Model and package lead-free", which first appeared on late 1960s boxes on the inner end flaps in four languages: English, French, German and Spanish.
