Repro boxes

Post by Big Al »

Is it safe to assume that nobody here attaches much--if any--value to reproduction boxes? I've thought about it for a while, and decided not to partake of them. (I didn't put this in the "boxes" thread, as that thread is basically a "sticky" here and I didn't want to clutter it up with my dumb question.)

Hi Alan,
All of the repro boxes I have seen have been a poor imitation of the real thing, most collectors are just not interested in them to be honest

i have a couple...i much rather have the real thing...but some are just too hard to come by or they are very expensive...a good substitute till i acquire the real thing
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Agreed Dan , The models cost enough on their own . This is the best repro box ivé seen . Had them custom made for the few models I made .Now that forum is gone ,are these 6 models worth more ?. lol . I hate lefora

Thanks for the input. It is as I figured.

I can understand their usefulness for display purposes, though... but as some of you may know, I'm a long way from having a fancy display! ;)

I once had a "Fancy Display", but the local Police thought otherwise...

I'd rather go without than have repro boxes. No different to putting a fake or copy model in the cabinet.
