I hope I'm wrong but penguin27 has not returned since these postings sadly it seems that like a few newer members they have used the site just to test the waters for future sales
As you say Dick a picture would be nice for posterity,

Hi Reg, I sent him a pm also an email regarding this set on the 18-12-2014 and the pm is still in the out box, and no reply to my email sent on the same day. It makes me wonder if he was just fishing for a price from the collectors on this site :?: :?:

It is inevitable that this will happen occassionally. Not everybody who joins up is a collector, quite a few are only interested in value.

Don (penguin) is a lifelong Matchbox collector from the west coast of Canada, I had the pleasure of meeting him in somewhere around 2000 when he visited the UK and we met at a London toyfair, He was a member of the mcch but he did not post very much, I have seen a few pics of his collection and all I can say is it is extremely impressive. His lack of communication here makes me think he may have already found a buyer for the giftset.

In the early 2000's, I had a chance to visit a South Florida collector who had not one but three of these sets and all three had the rare color crane. Two of the sets were purchased in Canada.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Well Nick even if he had found a buyer although I email and pm the same day he posted it on here, he could have replied to me and let me know, as I said the pm is still in the out box. :( :(
