This was a genuine model railroad accessory and the story is it was made for the 'MARKLIN' model railway system and models were commercially purchased and converted, but when Lesney discontinued the model from the range, they were approached by the company doing the conversion to ask if they could buy the tooling from them to continue with the model.

"Idris" has added to the story rather well and was compiling it while I was compiling mine, there you go, double the information...!

Hi,
thanks for the additional info to the Eheim VW-bus.
I always heard that Eheim build their own Tooling for the body after Lesney deleted model 34a.
That the tooling was sold by Lesney to Eheim is new to me.

Hi,
I got additional info to the Draisine-Buses.
Brawa tooked over the production of the Eheim Bus.
In this time a new body was made.
On the pictures you can see the differences of the three models.
From left to right: Matchbox, Eheim, Brawa with silver roof. Compare Eheim - Brawa
