SF#45 BMW POLIZIE NO DOME?

Post by motorman »

Is this genuine, it certainly looks a genuine piece however

It has no dome and no hole for a dome? and yet has all the correct bonnet and boot colours. Is it a Pre pro??
I cannot recall ever seeing a #45 polizie with no dome before and i am interested to hear the thoughts of the members.

Agreed Reg......and yet it cannot be easy to take a standard #45 Polizie, remove the dome and refill the roof hole.

Has a playworn "Manhalter" been used as a donor.....just a thought??

Hallo Alex

Some few were already so in the trade, mainly in Germany, it is the original model Manhalter Austria.

I somehow seem to have missed this post when it first came on.
Although I cannot say whether this particular example is genuine or not, this variation does exist as a pre-production/development version of the Polizei BMW. (I know because I have one, bought in the early 1980s at the LMC.)

You haven't missed it Idris it was just a passing comment elsewhere. Not saying that it is fake just wouldn't be confident to pay that sort of money from that source
