IMHO, Smart car buyers are NOT so smart in the first place. Plenty of superior options in the market place.

According to research the average Scotsman walks 900 miles a year and drinks 22 gallons of beer
That works out 41 miles to the gallon, not bad

Sorry to be pedantic but Scotch whisky is spelt without the "e" before the "y" as every whisky drinking Scotsman would know. Sure your not a beer drinker?

Sorry to be pedantic but isn't whisky spelt with a capitol 'W' ?

In a word, no unless it's at the beginning of a sentence or you're writing German :D
