500 Members and going strong.

I see we now have 500 members registered on this forum. I want to say here, that this is the best forum around by far and it is the most enjoyable and boyant forum I have come across.

I want to thank Nick for his continued hard work with us and for adjusting certain features with the forum, based on some members requests.

It is a great place to be for model collectors at virtually all levels and if you don't know much about "Matchbox" models when you join the forum, you sure will by the time you move on!

One of the outstanding niceties here, is the friendship between members, even though they may be on the other side of the planet, you would not know it, with some members passing models back and forth between each other as if they were in the same street! and that friendship can be spelt with capitol letters, because of the couple of incidences of model gifting, either here on the forum or between members when at a toy fair (Thank you again Hugh for the Lotus Europa at the NEC, Reg for the 'Cannonball' Rolls-Royce and Alex for the...this has to remain secret!!), and Jason at another toy fair giving me a bag of Rollers, thanks to you all Guys.

I hope the forum can continue in the format it is and I hope Nick keeps his enthusiasm for it, but maybe one Day he will want to pass it on to someone else, but be assured that what Nick and the forum members now have, is a very valuable reference work for collectors now and collectors to come.

I hope all the forum members had a good Christmas, here's wishing we all have a Happy New Year.

This forum is a great place to be, with a very friendly atmosphere and interesting and informative discussions, that said, we need more of the 500 members to contribute to the discussions IMHO to make it even better.

There is no good reason why the besy photos from this forum are not all collected into a gallery so that folks can view them all in 1 place although Nick´s listings are actually the most impressive Lesney gallery imaginable, better even than Vectis imho!
