Toyfair today had 1 new seller with a superb collection of vintage police items -the best sold to the early birds included some Metosul mint boxed cars but I got 3 nice ones that I wanted from the collection.Found the 3rd solido Tekno colour today and most pleasing, a couple more Redlines and an upgraded blue 30a Prefect

You did better than me, I did an 85 mile round trip to a new toyfair at the Chelmsford football ground, £3 for a 34a vw van in near mint, £4 for coffee and a bacon roll. £15+ for petrol.

I had a 7 minute drive and took my own bottle of water, lunching at home but paid about £130 for all these, some of which will be sold on :geek:
Yesterday I spoke to 2 Swedish toydealers who attended the recent Bealieu autojumble and they said there is now an unbelieveable amount of useless modern junk being sold in the UK and the few items that are worth buying seem to be offered at above ebay prices. They just enjoyed the event as an event not a buying experience!
But a Danish dealer who sold at the last Sandown event sold out his entire stock of fine Dinky + Corgi saying the English were hungry for quality at a nice price and for the 1st time ever his table yesterday was entirely Tekno.
Now briefly, I own all special colours used on the Tekno assembled Solido Alfa spyders -only the yellow is staying !

Hi Reg.
I was supposed to go to Maidstone but it is such a long drive and if there are any hold ups on the QE2 bridge the journey can easily turn in to a nightmare.
My friend Bruce of some 35+ years from the van club scene was stalling at Maidstone, I have not seen Bruce for at least 20 years so it would have been nice to meet up again, Bruce was selling his die cast van collection, His interests are in full size steam traction engines etc nowadays.

Hi,

just added these models to my small collection.
Nothing special but it is funny how I can remember all the details after havn´t held this kind of models in my Hands for about 35 years.
