Actually the more i look at the image of the box, should the model number not be on the end flap on an type E-2 box?? I note that this box is missing that model number. Is it an E-1 box then?? The front of the box looks like an E-2. I am not an expert....just my observations. I hope Nick will correct me if i am on the wrong track.

The model number is printed on both end flaps as you can clearly see in some of the pictures. Since the days of B2 type boxes there was no box without the model number on the end flaps anymore.

Woops! You're right Christian, i cant beleive i missed all those images on the listing, i just couldn't make out the model number on the main image.
If the model itself is a pretty standard Pontiac with bpw and not in the best of condition, then these bidders must have thought this box was rare??
I quickly looked at one of mine, which is surprising I could find since I have display and storage "issues," but that's a question for another day. Mine is mint, compared to the seller's chipped up one, so I too am hoping someone can say what's so special about his?
P.S. I am not the seller, even though his name is "Al" and he's from one of my home towns! Don't know him...
