wow Reg...finding two in one lot is like winning the lottery...congrats man!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.
Re: 42c Iron Fairy Crane
Im still looking for my 1-st high-pin and u already have 2....hmmm a bit unfair i would say.

I've only ever had a beaten one. Numi I thought you already had 3 of these ? Or maybe I'm wrong. It's one I look for when I'm out and about and only ever seem to see rough ones.

Hi Tj,i was just having fun with Reg and my mint specimen is safely parked away!tjlglass wrote:I've only ever had a beaten one. Numi I thought you already had 3 of these ? Or maybe I'm wrong. It's one I look for when I'm out and about and only ever seem to see rough ones.
Being post-pre-production initial-runs, these high-pins are a nightmare finding or sourcing in mint condition with just a a few extant in collections making them extremely rare.I too had mostly come across beaters but im sure there are better condition played-with specimens in some collections as well.An early collector from Us waited almost 40yrs before he had gotten a minter into his collection and values them around $650 (400gbp)and rising if these ever enter an auction house.

Re: 42c Iron Fairy Crane
I think there is also a high pin casting where the hole for the high pin has been filled and replaced with a lower pin-hole (or was it a s/f?).
