Is it genuine or is it fake?

I think what Ergomatic may be saying is that his gpw model doesn't have the diagonal lines, whereas Nick's list only shows the gpw with the lines. I must check mine.
It is correct, John! Do you know all of my thinks? :D
That would be spooky :D I've checked mine, but as I thought, they have diagonals lines. It will be a difficult one to find I imagine, because the gpw models don't come up too often and that variation is well hidden :)
Don't worry, only a "D"box inside for BEA Coach :D
This was my first RW59B with GPW, later I bought another one whith 3 wheel wells, but missing bonnet decal, but about one month ago I found my 3rd, which is more or less near mint ( with 3 wheel wells too ). That was why I thinked it is fake and asked you.

I would look at the axle ends as the wheels are more likely to have been swapped rather than the baseplate.

My GPW 59b has smooth wheel wells. Not listed in Stannard etc. I am quite sure it has not been tampered with - there are no obvious signs, plus it came from my uncle who had it from new. Wheels have correct diameter and tread count.

Cheers,
Gavin

I agree, the axle-ends look very authentic and very 'Lesney' finished and opposing ends on one side of the car. Some fakers tend to put the large boss of the axles on the same side of the model, which is often wrong.

Well done Peter on capturing this one.

Mine has the large bosses on opposite sides as well - here is an old photo of it, probably can't tell much from it!
