My 26s aren't as rare. 26a is yet another cool variety with spw, maybe one of these days.

Sly George has casually shown a brand new to kwakers painted rectangle grill- unpainted bumper mask sprayed variation in his casting show.......What the @&*# is THAT one? The known silver Foden emblem and front bumper trim is early and common, but Please give us some casting details on that third Concrete Truck on the right with it's 'New' silver rectangular grill trim on it George. kwakers

Hello Dick and Greg, Because Stannards and Nick only list models with or with-out trim I never even looked them up for trim variations.

It is a code 15 in Stannards but as he only states that all the models are with or with-out trim, so cannot compare them.

But on Nicks variation site it is code 18 with the grille and lights trimmed, were as he lists it with-out any trim.

You are correct George, the reference Guides have always just had variations with or without silver trim. Your version seems to be an unknown 'later' mask that paints the real rectangular Foden GRILL of the Mixer. Harold Colpitts in his AIM Guide in 1976, and also Nick in his online guide are mistaken when they call the silver emblem the truck's grill. Instead, the painted area we are very familiar with is correctly the Foden's double pointed emblem or 'ornament' as Bob Brennen correctly called it in his 1971 NAMC Guide. Now that you have shown us yours George, more masked silver grills will be found next week by nearlymint and Numi, and Antonin can look through his spares to show us his also.....LOL kwakers
