15c Tippax Refuse Collector.
15c Tippax Refuse Collector.
I cannot find any book that lists the variations on the hinges or the different braces on the hinges.
These two models with No Peep-hole and with 11 x 45 tread wheels, have different casting variations on the different hinges.
One has a very thin hinges and a thin brace, the other one has the mid thickness hinges but a wide brace.
The three thickness, of the Hinges.
The two different braces.
Taken with a mirror to show that these two with 11 x 45 have no Peep-Hole and have two different braces.
Nick does list the hinges but only two.

Re: 15c Tippax Refuse Collector.
As there is no comment on this fine tread wheel and hinge variation, I assume that in general this is not worth talking about variation.
Like most of the new variations that are posted here most of them are just brushed aside and forgotten about, I do print off the new found variations
and the paste them into my spare Stannards book so that it brings it up to date.
Other wise these new variations are lost for all time, for any future reference by new collectors about real casting variations, to my way of thinking
that is a real pity, as Nick cannot not put all these new finds in to his variations his other 1-75 pages.

Like many I'm definetely interested in new variations, perhaps it's a time issue. There's some links to related discussions on the 15c here:

I know George, but as I say maybe it's a time issue, perhaps others could comment. I posted the 15c links hoping it might rekindle some interest.kerbside wrote:I was not posting about any particular model, but all the new variations that come up that are not listed any where.

It's definitely a time issue: although Nick has plenty of help here on the Forum, he manages the catalogue side of things on his own.johnboy wrote:I know George, but as I say maybe it's a time issue, perhaps others could comment. I have started to update the site, as I started at no 75b it could be a while before I get to that one!.
I want to try and get the reg wheel model pages updated by the spring.

Hello Gary, the 15c the ones with-out the peep-hole my (3) do not have the nipples as you put it.
But my other 10 with the peep-hole have the nipples.
Stannards has the word (Dennis) in brackets and it was a Dennis in realty in the UK, also Charlie Mack lists it in his Regular book as a Dennis Refuse collector also John Houghton lists it as a Dennis Tippax Refuse Collector, that's three books.
